Re: Random Pics
To use a tool like 'Google images', store the image on your PC (if that is what you're using). Then drag the photo over to the little camera icon. Sometimes you can find the results you are looking for.

Twisted Brick nailed it. I don't know where he got the rest of his information though. -If you zoom in to behind the guy's left arm in the picture, you can see the name Ingersol (but not Rand); that's one clue. I cant figure out what all the sight glasses (?) are for. (I caught the Historic image o...

Cooking Shawarma From A Whole 100kg BULL On A Spit! A Grand Dish For All Children https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pivdZW8ynKY This video made me hungry. It might have been filmed in Turkey? The woman is a good cook too. I like her samovar and what I think was rose-hip tea made with the hot water.. T...

-Beaujolais is supposed to be consumed when fresh and new. It's intended as a refreshing, organic wine; without sulfites. It is not meant for storage. - Sulfites (not sulfates or sulfides) are used to preserve wine, to prevent oxidization, prevent browning, maintain freshness and shelf life. Someti...

One in Johnson City, Tennessee and the other confusingly in Johnson County, Texas. Then the Texas story was linked to another bust ...

Been listening to a bunch of Toby Keith songs lately; thanks to thecroweater . Lots of songs that I haven't listened to, in 20 years. Like this next one: with the bald headed, toupee wearing clown (Terry Bradshaw) flirting with the Goth. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMKTB95-LVk and https://www.yo...

Taking issue with that picture with the T-bone steaks over the flames. I claim to be no expert and I've been eating meat cooked that way all my life. But I read somewhere recently, that the smoke from burning fat at high temperatures can deposit undesirable chemicals onto the surface of the meat. Th...

If you had taken a second to search (and read) as is often suggested, then you would have easily found over 90 HD threads – each with numerous comments on that very subject (bird seed for distilling). Instead of creating a (repetitive) new topic – perhaps you should have joined an existing discussio...

Re: A Christmas gift
My recent resolution so to speak was to re-stock the liquor cabinet. It's been drained pretty dry (of commercial booze) in recent years. Even my own stuff can never age – if I keep sipping away at it. Lately about once a week, I'll buy a prestigious bottle of Brandy, Scotch or something else and sip...

Re: Onions?! 🧅
Glancing through the link provided, I saw no mention of sucrose being added to make the onion wine. But typically, onion wine recipes do call for lots of added sugar. I've been mixing onions and distilling now for several years. But I mean aging, not distilling from fermented onion juice; which migh...
