great thread and thanks for all the pics , have tried quite a few mandrels myself the last few days and have one just like Dads and that is making the best looking spp so far, and same from a straight screwdriver, i tried filing some triangular shape madrels aand they just produced round coils, cheers

cheers thank s for the replies shipping from the us prob would be a problem to me, across the atlantic on the fringes of europe lol the one above is only about 40 euro and available closeby, have seen some that are dearer also. or also a 6000 psi one as below for just under 50, " Needle valve 2...

#14 is .064" dia...a bit large. It would work as a packing, but the HETP is a ? My largest wire is .031" and is great in a 3" colum. There is a point where copper wire will crush under it's own weight, but #14 would take a lot. It wouldn't take long for you to make a quart or two of ...

hello again been reading thru the site and studying, great site and loads to read, i like the boka build so i've been reading up on the build, i was thinking of going 2" but the output of some users is quite slow, and i'd like a faster output, i'm nom thinking of going with a 3" copper bok...
