Yes i will. I dont want anything bigger than 20 at absolute most. Ill do some math cause i may go bigger than what i said before, or skinnier, but im sure it wont be that exact size

Rough size will be 24" tall x 12" bottom. Should get around 5+gal size. Thats just the pot. It will have a 2ft column and liebig

Yes i know. I dont want reflux. Im lookin for more metal but 16 is all i can find. I may just double up the bottom, will also keep the heat transfer more even and prevent scorching...

Just a pure clean whiskey. I have a 5gal SS stock pot as a boiler, and a 1/2" column with a 1/4" worm. Im having terrible problems sealin the lid shut so im just lookin to upgrade for the long haul...

I dont sell. Never have, never will. And ive about made up my mind to build but im still lookin at sheet copper. Its very hard to find the size i need. I need a 3'x3' 16 or 20oz sheet for my plans.

Right now i drink mainly makers mark and crown, wit a lotta miller lite on the side. Also my personal concoction, corn whiskey. Im tryin to justify the $125 but i will almost never make a batch that large, or atleast not of the same kind.

So i decided, instead of fixin my current still, imma just buy a copper one saturday. Gonna buy a clawhammersupply.com 5 or 10 gal. Im tired of my stainless pot/copper worm setup.

Well i have plans fo the similar style still they sell, ony my plans use a hea cap with a side discharge arm into a coil, not a liebig and column. Im gettin a big paycheck thursday night( welding project being sold) and will be ordering supplies or still friday ir saturday. Just tryin to get an idea

Yeah i figured it was. But i always buy stuff in bulk, or atleast for distilling. Better to have too much, than to little when you need it

I just read the whole grain section. Took me the past 1.5hrs. I am just gonna gove this whole idea a rest untill i get my amylase in wednesday or so and go from there. I have about detonated my brain today by researching and trying. Time to give it all a rest. Ill look into the matter tommorow or so...

Then again, my still leaks but i can never fix it. I didnt get a chance to make a teflon/cardboard gasket. Soon im just gonna weld the lid shut and put a larger column on it(2" or so). Right now im runnin 1/2" on 1/4" worm. Its got a ton of pressure behind it but i cant run that setup...

Well i had a mash lat night that was at .98 fg and only distilled 1 pint. It was about 8 as well

Well i bought DADY yeast and would like to use it to its full potential. Im not making pure whiskey with it though. Im making blackberry shine. Friend o mine wanted to try some and i though it seemed to be a pretty good feat to attempt. Not sellin though. Just a "pass the jar around" thing

Ok. Well thanks for the help you did give. I used the calc and jave found out that a 12lb sugar wash at 4gal will cause a 21% potential. I believe ill use this from now on

From what i understand, the lower the gravity, the better my wash will be. My new wash made last night, has a gravity of 1.060 and a potential alcohol of 8%.

O i got the wrong math. I spoke different than true. The sg of the new mash is 1.06, not 1.16. Sorry. Is that a better number?

Yeah no kidding. I had most of my tools but did have to purchase a few things. I cant decide if it cheaper to buy a copper still kit from clawhammersupply.com, or build the same myself. The materials cost about the same as te kit does, but the kit is already predrilled and cnc-cut to fit. .......lon...

It is a 5gal wash/mash/wort whatever. I know there are differences but from the person i only had a short amount of time to work with, he just called it mash, andnever used any malt so thats why i havent yet.
