this session i made 20 gallons of hard cider of a wonderful apple crop. i then set out to jack 15 gallons of it. i would freeze a 2 liter bottle at-least 24 hours in the deep freeze then allow it to drain for one hour no more no less. i ended up with just over 3 gallons of finished product. i didn't...

ive done a few mead distillations. the ferments were all slooow. i read somewhere in here thats normal as the bees have a natural preservative in their honey to prevent fermentation and spoilage. can't offer the reference, but it made sense to me. the straight mead ferments after oaking were nice, ...

it was 100% corn. 10 lbs self malted 20 lbs cracked corn. 15 gallons of water. turbo yeast.

i finally got a still put together. brewed a batch of mash and i am now the proud father of 15 gallons of vinegar. anyone have any advice? is there a chance to continue to brew in the same location? and fermenter? I've been told that once i have vinegar i will forever get vinegar. any truth to that?...
