Yeah it’s been three years out here! I’ve been out of the loop for awhile, but getting back into the groove!

Here’s one, had some visitors today, guy noticed my still( 21/2 copper ) sitting on top of my China hutch. Offered him a sample, said “ that’s the best whiskey I’ve ever tasted” that’s when you know you’re doing it right!

Used to be SF BAYAREA, now very happy in SE OKLAHOMA!

So I ran the first of two runs today, two quarts of 100proof. Tomorrow will be the last run of this batch. Will do it all over again! Ran second part of my wash today and got another 2quarts of 90 proof. Took 1/2 quart of backset to put into new wash and we’ll start the whole thing over!

Just finished first run. Two quarts of ninety proof! Letting it air overnight and finish the rest tomorrow.

Let me know! I let mine sit a little bit longer and ended with .99, just siphon into my still and running now!

Just a quick update, mash still bubbling albeit slowly, I think it might be ready to go by end of the week!

Forgot to mention that I checked my mash this morning and still wasn’t bubbling like it should so I whisked in another teaspoon of yeast. Now bubbling happily! Starting gravity was 1.65 by the way.

Sadie33, yes pellets are bad, I looked at all the feed stores around me and everything had pellets. It was pretty easy to make this batch, we’ll just have to see! Right now my batch isn’t bubbling like it should. I might have put the yeast in before it cooled down enough
