Wow, I'd love to taste some of that ..And a still in almost every house! With every family having their own recipes ..And their own orchard! ...Utopia. :clap: Synthetics is anything rubber or rubber-like. I wrote "in countryside". Most of people live in towns, so it is not quite as utopic...

Thanks Devotus, great explanation. I have a few questions.
What you mean with "Fennel Crowns" I have fennel in my backyard just at the stage of maturation and I'm confused. Is this on pic?

Welcome to HD! Pressure cookers aren't the preferred pot to use, but in your neck of the woods you may have to improvise some ..Just read up on safety and stay away from any synthetics! Thanks, I see. I have been on forum since couple months and I reading lot of topics. Here, slivovitz is ordinary drink. Basically, it is plum (plum is sliva on serbian) brandy (twice distilled). In the countryside, each second house have own orchard and still pot and unique recipe. We have varieties...

I live in Serbia, and we have very good brandys, especially slivovitz, but I like anise and fennel taste beverages like Uzo, Mastika and Absinthe, and I decide to make my own. I made still from wife's pressure cooker :D and start playing.
