I have a 15 gal keg (with 10 gal charge) and tried using a 5gal worm bucket.
in 20 minutes the water was to hot to touch.
in 30 minutes was getting vapor from my worm.
Setting up a 30 gal drum with 20 ft of 3/4 inch worn.
Hope this will work

Re: going electric
If I did it again Id buy this to go with my SSR http://www.auberins.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=444 Then again I don't think this will work due to low output as per specs. Amps output are way to low for our needs Specification Power input: 90-260VAC, 50 Hz or 60 Hz. Control...

That's the one a lot of folks here are now using. You'll want to put it in an enclosure (for safety). There is at least one thread here somewhere that will give you a lot more detail about it - that is, how to set it up. Good luck with it. thanks S-Cackalacky for the quick response . just wanted to...

Well I've been running on propane for the last year and it has been fun learning. I'm tired of the noise and heat so wanting to try changing up to electric. I was wondering if someone could give a little advice and tell me if this voltage regulator will work http://www.ebay.com/itm/AC110V-220V-75A-1...

Im kind of a doomsday prepper, so i think i can convince anyone looking for my still that its for the purpose of making water. Not to mention our tap water is almost undrinkable, so i need a cheaper way to make water that doesnt give me kidney stones.. then you need about 15.5 gallons of distilled ...

Re: Differences between 2 and 3 inch?
Well, my head was going to be joined to the column via a tri clamp so I could mount it directly to the keg for that purpose, unless you are meaning a different head design other than boka . But at this point I don't know if the 3 inch will work that way because I will need some type of 2 to 3 adapt...

Nice job mate, I've seen a few of this design modified now and they all seem to be working alot better!. I've found cm's the best to operate, bad designs are what have given cm's a bad name. When you first ever run one, it is fiddly and can be frustrating not knowing what your doing, but with study...

It's been a long time since I read the BW recipe. I also recall that this amount of yeast was used in considera...

Pull the coil out, cap it, now you got a pot with some packing that wont do much. I understand how the ccvm still can be used as a pot still by removing the upper condensor and capping. condensation would occur in an attached liebig or graham condensor. What I was curious about is operation in refl...
