With more power you will be able to push it hard and keep same ABV or higher yet increase production.
Glad to see you are seeing great results!

Re: SPP source
I’ve been searching around to no avail looking for SPP. too many irons in the fire currently to be able to make my own. I was hoping to start a thread that may get some links to help me and some others looking for the same. I’m looking for SPP for a 3” column 36-42” packed section. My buddy champag...

Re: SPP Packing
Say Bitter, did you ever find time to try to determine the HETP of this stuff? ... Any thoughts on other sizes? I never checked the HETP but with 51" in a 3" Boka I can hit about 97% I say that as I don't have a lab grade alcoholmeter to be sure. that was running at 3.2 LPH in the 3"...

Re: BIAB anyone? Experience share to improve efficiency.
1. Mill grains twice. 2. Add acid to lower Ph of mash water 3. Decrease water volume around 5-6l to do sparge - on partially open (from the top) bag on a oven rack 4. Increase mashing time to 60' (last time I was following YT vid and mash only for 30') 5. Stear grains 2-3 time and for sure before t...

Re: Irish whiskey/barley wine
I had thought they would use just enough malted barley to get sufficient enzymes and to avoid the tax. Unmalted is really cheap too. I wonder how much of a flavor difference there is if triple distilled. Best I can say is make a 100% Malted (different malts will have different taste so I malted the...

Re: The Badmotivator Bain-Marie and Oak Barrel
Cutting process times down is really valuable to me, for many reasons you can easily imagine. The pneumatics stuff is all on Amazon. You can make a template and use a flush trim bit so they are all exactly the same. Then the variable with fitment would be wood grain and moisture level. Not sure you...

Re: Would this improve my vodka
+1 to what Stil_stirrin said. something like wineos would make a great bas for the t500 to run adn produce a very neutral product it was developed to make a vodka with a pot so even cleaner with reflux. Cuts are key with neutral to me. Since I upgraded to SPP and a 3" boka can do it at 3.2 LPH ...

Re: BIAB anyone? Experience share to improve efficiency.
Hello, actually I heard about this credit card thing. I'm also aware of the fact that most of automated all in one systems are some form of pseudo BIAB. What ph should I aim for ~5 i guess, right? I got 75% phosphoric acid so i plan to add in steps of 0.5ml to get to desired level. I ordered PH met...

Re: BIAB anyone? Experience share to improve efficiency.
BIAB you can crush finer and that will also help will efficiency.. Also sparge a little will help some too. For a recirculating system you want a coarser crush for BIAB you want it finer. But not so fine you have a stuck sparge. Stirring a few times like every 20 minutes during the mash can help wit...

Sorry no experience those but made lots of wine and beer in the past. I'd personally avoid those. I think the FERMZILLA - 30L ALL ROUNDER would be a much better choice.

Re: Improving neutral/SPP packing
yeah I find distill to as high a proof as you can and then dilute again gives even cleaner results. Also I like to have a bit more in the boiler for a longer run as since I went SPP runs are pretty fast. So I strip under pretty high power as fast as I can maintain 95%. since I got SPP just feelign i...

Good luck! 3" DWV may be available at your local hardware store normally about $20-30 a foot unfortunately worth checking though. Lee Valley sell the copper blocker copper packing you can get mail order. Look on ebay or aliexpress if you are doing a boka as needle vales be a lot cheaper there. ...
