tera cotta clay pot aging

has anyone ever used an unglazed red clay pot to age corn whisky. I have used one to store tap water in and it takes out, or lets out the harsh chemical taste. do you think it will help?

2.5" column top

i am looking to make a Bokobo (S) column, the plans call for a 3" top 12" with the coil inside and a 2" plug in the top 2/3's of the column. I am having trouble finding 3" pipe, can I use 2.5" and make the top taller with a 1" filler in the top 2/3's.

Hi, I have never disdilled liquor but I have been a professional cook. the heat variation problem can be solved by putting a thick wire mesh on the burner under the pot, like "hog wire" fencing. there are also spacers that have ceramic beads on them to reduce the heat to the pot. with the ...
