Re: What happens if.....

During heat up you should have no vapor coming out of a boka...or any time after that if you have sufficient cooling of the vapor stream.....get a nice comfortable chair and some form of entertainment and SIT RIGHT BY YOUR STILL. Feel your column and keep feeling it as the vapor climbs the column......

Re: What does distilled six times mean?

Generally when a company claims 6,10,20 etc distillations they are counting each plate in a column. I believe Titos vodka is pot stilled therefore they would run it through the pot still, dilute and rerun 6 times in that order. Windy, I think you are probably right about the plates. There is a dist...

all that was used was more sugar from the same 50$ bag and more corn also from the same bag

to get the solder off the inside of a 2" fitting just find a piece of scrap pipe, wood handle or even pvc that fits LOOSELY inside the 2" fitting .Get an old cotton sock and pretend it's prom night and wet that sucker, heat the fitting up and stick it in while it hot and slide it around :eb...

If you have access to a compound miter saw you don't need a template...set the bevel to 30 degrees and set the depth adjustment for the appropriate depth and you'll get perfect 30 degree cuts to a perfect depth in no time with a good sharp carbide blade...just make damn sure the pipe is held in posi...

supermarkets that have a bakery have icing buckets that are food grade and will mostly give them away if you ask. You even might get lucky and get to lick icing off your fingers on the way home. The five gallon ones have a rubber seal in the lids too!

Re: Cooling my vapor

a five gallon bucket will work.....you'll just need two and have to keep an eye on how hot they get and change them out....but why bother when you can get 35 gallon trash cans fill two and do an entire run with out moving the pump at all if you are smart enough to figure out how to make the two work...
