Its looking good, but if your going to be firing this thing with propane your product condenser should be a lil farther from your heat source.

Sounds like to me he wants to use a gin basket and maybe add fruit for flavor. At least that's what I would do.

If anything make sure they purge the pipe with argon, otherwise you may get some sugaring on the inside of your pipe.
Other then that they should know how to weld it.

I would stick to making beer, Sounds like to me you have a long road of learning to do in just the beer making alone. You just need to use a sanitizer such as starsan for what your wanting to do.

I use a small screwdriver, I tighten em up pretty good. My vm is stainless and parts are pretty heavy. The tighter the better!
