Was late heads hearts. Had already decided that that jug was being kept, as was the next one.. Had a couple of smaller ones of just heads and 4 of tails.

Killed My Whiskey... Help!!
Hi again Guys, wondering if you can help me. I was in the last 10 minutes of my tripple distillation of a primarily wheat based whiskey when I smashed the first Demi John containing most of the late heads and hearts. I put a hole through the bottle about 1/3 of the way up with the last bottle I was ...

Re: Geuze whiskey
Sounds excellent! Some of my best beers have been lambics; some lost to competing moulds/bacteria though. Never got round to distilling any of them. Interested as to the results.
Does anyone know of any commercial spirits based on wild yeast beers?
Cheers

Re: Anyone Into Antique Firearms
Our local pub ,dating from 1730' has a Brown Bess, a Bren gun and a large bore blunderbus above the bar. Apparently all in working order according to the barman. No credit is accepted.

Re: Hello from the U.K
Hi again guys, I run my stainless pot with bunches of copper wire hanging from the inside of the lid to ,hopefully, clean up some of the nasties. These get left to brighten up in the left overs of whatever run I've done so they're nice and clean for the next go. I think I'm not the only one to find ...

Re: 100 litre pot still, stainless Liebig
Sorry, I have my conversions wrong. My pot is 100 British fluid drachams which brings this well under. I hate metric! ( f***ing Europe!)
Thinking to go back to the copper condenser with which I had no problems whatsoever.
Thanks for the help everyone!
Cheers

Re: Hello from the U.K
Hi Swedish, Been distilling for around 6 months so far, have done odins gin and a rum made with treacle that carried over an astringent flavour in the late heads (uk Brewers take note that treacle is not the same as molasses) but I mainly do all grain whiskey as I come from a brewing background.. Ha...

100 litre pot still, stainless Liebig
Wondering if you guys can help with my next problem..? I have a 100l stainless stock pot running with a 1/2 inch stainless/1" jacketed Liebig. This is 48" long. I went over to a stainless condenser after reading about carbamate concerns in final spirits. I also run with high purity copper ...

Pot still without a head
Hi all, Used the search function but to no avail.... Hope I'm not being retarded. Just wondering if there is any reason why you couldn't drill through the side of a stainless stockpot say 2" from the rim and then use flor paste to seal the lid and Liebig? I know it would make a very ugly pot bu...
