Re: Thumper spear clog?

I have a 15.5g keg and a 7.5g keg thumper running on electric. Today it was charged with about 8g of clear mash and the thumper with about 2g of murky corn meal from the bottom of the fermenter. I set this up in a cold garage last night and it sat overnight to run today. During heat up, I got norma...

1/2" over 3/4" Liebig cleaning tool

I've been working on my still.
Been a few years out of service.
I wanted to clean my condenser.
I got to thinking
I got a range rod for a .50 muzzleloader
It's got a cleaning jag on it.
Works a charm for scrubbing.
Give it a try

No. Never had an issue I do tighten the clamp down tight though Usually they leak cause of not being level. After rolling,a quick sanding to level out the mating surface takes care of that What are you using for gaskets? I get em at a local dairy supply store. There white They must be ok if for dai...

I did mine with a wooden clamp jig I made, and a ball pein hammer. It works well but it's s noisy! The hardness of my 2.5" would have definitely needed annealing if I tried the suggested way, but if I ever need to do another flange I'll try it, nice one duke. When you roll the lip your only ta...

Re: Easy flange making tool

I don't see much of value here. I do! I get exactly what he is doing. Great idea. Heat the end 3/8 of the tubing till dull red, let it cool and that modified wrench can be used to turn a flange for making a tri clamp connection. It would work without annealing the copper but annealing it will make ...

Easy flange making tool

Make your own flange quickly
No welding
IMG_20240403_195534056.jpg
Use the crack ground into the wrench to roll out the metal.
When you get it shaped hammer it level and a lite sanding on a flat surface will square it up.
