My local teeshirt screenprinter is still in business and MY cost per shirt is pretty cheap. BUT - that's for pre-ordering, pre-paying & me shipping to everyone individually?? Not ideal so I believe a fulfillment company like Teespring is the most practical way to do this. Not only can you list ...

Don’t be disillusioned @maddog, we all started there. Sometimes you can do endless amounts of reading and research, trying to take in everything as a new starter. You can even get to the point where you get lost in long tiring threads and get confused. Remember.... “There is no such thing as a stupi...

Re: Nectarine spirit

I used very ripe nectarines, I got a bit of a production line happening with myself. I stacked all the trays of nectarines up in front of me and put a 220 L fermenter beside me. Just went through ripping them in half to remove the seed and threw the flesh in the fermenter. You can get away with usin...

Like any good Rum time on oak is everything, I’ve tried this rum “young” and it was good. Also tried it after two years on oak and it was exceptional and a completely different animal. I like this rum because it’s subtle but still rummy. In Australia as a teenager I grew up on Bundaberg Rum, probabl...

Wow that’s awesome,,,,

Is it quite heavy duty or is it thin flimsy copper in the pot?

It looks like its heavy gauge Copper

A temperature gauge on a pot still is a waste of time in my opinion

For me I always strip as hard and fast as the condenser can handle, for spirit runs I always run as slow as possible. With my HP burner turned down as low as it will go I pull product off at a rate of 300mls every 9 minutes. It is a good idea to time this and I always do, the reason for this is a to...

Re: The humble vanilla bean. I love it dammit.

I make a whiskey that has a 2" stick of vanilla bean, a teaspoon of pure maple syrup and a handfull of raisins per 4 litres of 65%. Must admit, it's expensive but sooooo much better than vanilla essence. It is nice to drink straight and the vanilla really comes out when mixed with coke. It was...
