I had alot of the wheat germ bubble out in the first 3 days so I topped it off with tap water. would that cause an infection?punkin wrote:Dirty feet is an infection.

i made this and the final product came out smelling a bit like dirty feet. a couple things i did differently, i used 24 oz of wheat germ and i put it in a pressure cooker for 2 hours at max heat. i also used lemons instead of citric acid. it did make alot of alcohol though.

I decided against the brass and I built a still using only copper and stainless steel keg. its a 15 gal beer keg with a 2 ft long 2 inch copper column using a tri-clamp connection. thanks for all the replys everyone I didnt expect to get this much attention! I bought a lead testing kit and tested the pipe, I tested it in several places and i couldnt find any trace of lead. the pipe is a heavy 2 inch pipe and looks really nice after i cleaned it up. it would make the still look...

the brass pipe that im using was used by the county for putting in water mains. it fell off someones truck. im pretty sure that its safe. its there an easy way to test it?
