Re: The firemarshall says I've reached capacity
I work there, published time is 2am but if I got business I stay open till whenever they stop spending. There's never a line waiting at the door at 10am because there are 1000 24 hour bars. Hard to believe it's been FORTY years since I lived there! I keep up a bit by watching "Nightwatch"...

Re: Home made bottle labels
My wife told me that my painters tape and sharpies were fine for my at home stock, but if we're taking something to a party it needs to be labelled prettier. Looks like 251 posts to review!! Hopefully someone in here gives me a step by step instruction manual, because I'm not artistic at all!! K ht...

Travelling a few weeks ago with SWMBO behind the wheel,
pass a company that says "Milling" on the front. Oh it's lumber
A few miles later she points out the "new plant".
"It always stinks!"

Re: Candy Infusions
Instead of using candy, use LorAnn flavorings. These are the concentrated flavors used to make candy. You can buy them on line or in most craft and bake shops. The bottles are tiny because it only takes a couple drops. That was actually my first choice for flavoring until I realized the candies pro...

I've got nothing against celebrating outlaws, hell I'm named after one. But some outlaws are also great men while most are just 2 bit hustlers. Popcorn may not have been a particularly bad person, but I don't see how he is any more well regarded than a half decent shadetree mechanic or someone who ...

Re: Sundae Chocolate Bourbon
Any update? I don't have lots of down time (3 young kids and self-employed) but I've since managed to squeeze, settle and strip batch 1 collecting just over 5 litres at 20% (ran a little further than I intended to but should get some flavour coming through!). Also started a sugarhead on the grains ...

I live across the street from a detective. Our daughters play together and when we first moved in he walked into my backyard looking for his girl while I was in the middle of a run. I stopped him and basically just said "Umm... I'm making corn whiskey back here, is that gonna be a problem?&quo...

Wasn't sure whether to post this or not and if so, where. I watch Moonshiners, actually it's how I got interested and ended up here. I always record it so I can fast forward through a lot of the bullshit but I do like Mark & Digger. In fact I BELIEVE they partnered with Jim Tom in either startin...

Re: First attempt at distilling - Am I missing any info?
I realize I'm late to the party, and I hope it's going well. Taking that one step further, if you have locked in on a recipe you like, completed wash will last for months. Particularly when using a small unit like the T5, it's no trouble so don't be afraid to make up a 20 gallon batch. I've used a ...
