Fall is near

Fall is close around the corner and I'm ready to get back at it. I have been taking a long brake with all the hot weather. I'm ready to tackle some fruit again this year.. I've missed out on a lot the last few months and I'm going to be rusty but haven't given up. WHATS UP SHINE ON??

Strawberry fundraiser

Well a buddy from work brought in a fundraiser brochure for his sons school. 8lbs of strawberries for $25 not too bad of a price. Most would ask what am I going to do with all of those strawberries? Easy answer for me lets make some panty dropper!!

i`ve been thinking of taking a time out lately i really enjoy this hobby but i have to admit i drink more now then ever and the ease of availabilty i find makes me enjoy drinking more. i don`t drink everyday,maybe one evening or two a week and may get a little twisted every 2-3 weeks does that seem...

My kids are all still pretty young but I plan on teaching my son everything I learn in this trade. I was raised not to be a snitch and he will be taught the same thing. I actually can't wait for him to get old enough to give me a hand. As of now he knows daddy makes beer.

Just mixing it and adding yeast is going to do nothing for you. You need to cook/mash everything at proper temp's. You might want to check out the tried&true section for a good recipe.

Looks like it's a bit short to reach the bottom of the thumper? You might have to sweat it off and add a longer tube to reach within 2" off the bottom of the thumper. Also, while you're at it I'd make the crossover pipe 2" as well and reduce it at the intake of the thumper. Good luck with...

The family and I have had the flue for the past week merry F.....g Christmas. On top of that the high has been 10 F and -6 at night. The wife did get me a nice Decanter and some whisky glasses.

I run a 15.5 gallon pot still and I'm in the making of adding a thumper. I resantly aquired a SS head for the thumper from Corene1 just need to add the 3/4" plumbing. I got a 2" by 12" column that I'm going to add a 90 degree elbow with a reducer down to 3/4". Gong to run the 3/4...

I have reran some of my mistakes and ended up with not much improvement. I would set them aside and use them for a sacrificial run for any mods or possibly a new still cleaning.
