Re: Knee replacement

My wait time was/is fairly minimal. Actually less than trying to get an appointment with my civvie doctor. Healthcare in this country has gone to hell since the government decided they could help us out. Still better than elsewhere tho’. I have no complaints, my wait time, in my area, is less than ...

Re: Whats your job?

Lots of fascinating jobs here and a buttload of real, honest hands on people. Great group. I’m 21 years in the US Army, followed by another 19 working for a state. Started a computer forensics company in my “spare time” during the later years and sold it 10 years later. Been retired, ran for state o...

Re: The liar's bench

How’s to an old “war story” to wake things up? Years back I did a protective service mission for theUS Sec Def, Cap Weinberger it was. He and the wife tucked in for the night and we told the hotel no calls, route them to me. They cut the lines! Come morning, we couldn’t give him a wake up call, no p...

While in Austria try Strohs rum (carefully). The unique butterscotch flavor is amazing. Wish I could get it here.

Re: Knee replacement

Six months to a year is my experience in a "full" recovery from any surgery, unless you are young. But the good news is that while along that path, it gets a little better every day. Having had a total hip and a total shoulder, I’ve gotta call you out on that one bil. I was up and...

Knee is doing much better. Has anyone in the US had to deal with the Veterans Administration? Re: Texas protecting its citizens

Here’s the thing.. don’t make enemies, don’t piss off your neighbors, and don’t above all have a contentious divorce. TABC and most states take these little bites when they pop up. There are generally few agents to cover large areas and they have many, many responsibilities. Least of which are $2 ho...

Good for him and I would throw in some cash for some legal fees. I bet if you would check with 10 craft distilleries, 9 of them started in some ones basement or garage, illegally. Missouri sidestepped the Federal law an made it legal to home distill. May be other states will follow. As will I. West...

Knee surgery in one week. They're just going to shave down cartilage where it's torn so it doesn't rub. In the short term, it's fixed, but the loss of cartilage makes it more likely to need a knee replacement in a decade or so. You’re gonna be fine. We all wish you the best and thats a lotta wishin’.
