Re: What'd ya'll make today?
i have 2 stripping runs and a rectification run planned for today. Probably takes around 18 hours total according to my calculations. Pretty rough life but It's my own fault because I stopped (out of laziness) distilling for a year and now Im scrambling to get some aged product done.

because I've used power meter sometimes and it shows both mains voltage and watts. I think that 2kw rating is at 240volts maybe.

Re: Trying to make Apple Brandy
I'm also trying to do apple brandy right now. Not sure if this will work but this is my process: 1. ferment 20 liters of grocery store apple juice 2. before the spirit run I add 5 liters of (gin quality) GNS 3. potstill with little to no cuts. I feel like this is my only option because adding sugar ...

I use an in-line version of this filter at the bottom of my carbon column to remove carbon dust.
Also makes a great no odor airlock.

Preparing for a freeze filtration experiment to make 10 liters of vodka. I know some commercial people are using chill/freeze carbon filters for their vodka. If this experiment succeeds (at least partially) I will make an actively cooled carbon filter as a priority.

I nuke my "distillery" with germicidal UVC and ozone every now and then. This pretty much wipes out anything living in the entire room. An extremely powerful stuff and no chemicals involved. Sometimes I'm thinking where I'm getting these wonderful ideas all the time. I guess you give the h...

I made something that tastes like whiskey in one week. 1. Cooked a whole grain flour and corn flakes with enzymes then filtered into fermenter. 2. Added malt extract and granulated sugar. This fermented dry in 3 days. 3. Racked into another fermenter then turbo clear and 24 hrs later racked again (i...

That's a very interesting column design to say at least. I wish there was a sticky In red color and large font size "ask for advice here before buying your first still!!!". I would have saved 200 euros and a lot of time for sure.
