If your worried about overdoing spices. Get some small glass bottles and masserate each spice in one with some high proof and leave them set a while. Add a few drops of this at a time and check whatever your making the next day till you get it where you like (It seems to me that the flavor and smell...

I really don't see anything too funny about a suffering dog. No matter how stupid. Can you imagine the pain that animal is in? How would you feel if that was your pet? You must beat your dog if you think that this is funny. Nah, the dog will be fine. It was having a good time with that porcupine, i...

I dont run a still like that but from what I know of the way it works, putting a cork or a valve on the output side could cause a dangerous build up of pressure. A still should never be pressurized, it could explode. If I understand what possum is saying, having the cap off the top of your still wou...

I watched Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe where he worked in a cooperage. After they cut the groove in the barrel that will accept the head, they mix a past/dough of flour, water and oak sawdust. They used a tool or a piece of wood and pressed a thin layer into that groove then installed the head. When th...

aging on wood ? grape vine ?
Ive read of people aging spirits on several different woods. Ive tried white oak and apple (I pesonally like the best). It has me wondering, why not grape vine? OK so maybe its not a wood so to speak but I am interested in trying it. Has anyone tried it? Does anyone know if it is a bad idea or worse...

Free speech is one of the best things them silver heads gave us. But, I guess the way I see it, it’s like if you invite someone into your house and they start doing something in front of your kids you don’t want them exposed to. They have two choices; follow the rules of the house or leave. They are...

Harry Thanks, I never thought to search for information with the WHO, lots to go thru but not tonight as its getting late. Funny though, one file (12.31 copper) I did look at mentioned an old study of dogs. It was too bad it didn’t mention what breeds were used. The reason its is funny is that I alr...
