Re: Rye & Spelt
Hi Blue Sasquatch, I have just seen this whilst researching some different grains. You can definitely use AG but I would also use some beta glucanase, if you aren't opposed to enzymes. Both Rye and spelt have got relatively high gum content and you'll want to get rid of that to free up those sweet s...

Re: Making a Faux Dark Rum from Neutral Spirits
I like to make clones of various liquors, and right now I'm interested in making a passable dark rum from neutral spirits. For example, I can use Everclear diluted and then aged on oak and add some flavors. I have tried aging on a dark toast American oak insert, and I have some rum extract I can tr...

Re: Ultra Low Density Heating ...
Yeah I thought making fins would screw the pooch as it gives it a sticking surface that would also be a real pain to clean. I was thinking more along the lines of a mirror polish big brew coil (with enough seperation between coils to allow free flow) with an agitator. If the watt density is low enou...

Re: Ultra Low Density Heating ...
Hi Guys,
Wondering if anyone got any further with this?
@Odin - how did this turn out?
I have been toying with how to make a sustainable, versatile set up that can be run off renewable energy without a massive capital expense and ULWD seems like the best way to go
Cheers
