I do bulk orders with some guys up north of me...50lb sac of 2 row (malted barley) costs me about 34 bucks and wheat isn't a whole lot more...

as an all grain brewer and doing a lot of reading extract has a bunch or corn sugar (creates a subtle cidery taste) and the quality is just poor, you also have more creative control. I know 2 row and 6 row are used but what about some of the other darker malts like black patent, chocolate, honey, crystal, brown, I realize they are not efficient malts for converting starches and have low extract...if i make my cut right I should get that roasty toastiness...right?

Any way are there people petitioning for the legalization of home distillation? Its crap that marijuana will be more legal than home distillation...We need a couple states to get going on it if not already...Bah hopefully we get some people to pull through...

Whats the diameter and someone have a link to see what a tri clap looks like? Whats cleaning like? would it work with 19/32s of an inch with a condenser attached to that? I like the corney because they are super easy to clean...

K so I've been researching absinthe for a while....currently have all of the herbs growing down in the south bay with my hop yard...But yeah I plan on boiling the herbs in my must for mead (anise, Florance fennel, aniseed, coriander, hyssop)Thinking about adding amber rock candy for a hint of carame...

make a starter with corn sugar and water...ferment for a day...pitch half...add more water and suger put it in your fridge...I can turn a 7.25 into 25 cents a batch if i do it well...

I was going to shave the rubber off and if I left the rubber it would never would touch anything I would drink...Ill check a sanke I have a bunch of 1/2 bbls laying around...Just kinda big to keep a still under wraps
