Re: True Brew Hydrometer?
Thanks for the help and the link, I don't think it will work for me though. My hydrometer is calibrated at 60 deg F. I'm not sure who makes True Brew equipment but I cant seem to find a web site for them?

Re: Hi tech cooling - saving water during a drought?
I don't know if this has been settled yet or not but here is my idea of what may work for the OP. If I understand correctly he was running a reflux still so here is an idea to use a radiator and a worm in a barrel and a fan. I would possition the fan and radiator so the air moving across the radiato...

Re: Condenser Safety Issues
Just a thought, throw a small pump in the pool and use pool water to cool the still, Its a win/win, you get your still cooled and the kids get a little heat in the pool!martenskoop wrote: I could use the output to fill my kid's mini wading pool... (its ten feet across and 2 or so feet deep!!)

Re: New member . New still
I really like this design and had a thought to address the safety issue. What if one were to let middle size tube extend out the top of the larger tube and then just set a pipe cap on top of it so it could pop off in an over pressure situation? Thoughts?

Re: White Sugar Nutrients Informantion
Thanks for the reply rad, so you think maybe I should just crack and convert some corn and thrown in the fermenter and that should provide all the needed nutrients too feed the yeast? Then am I correct in thinking that I can save some of the spent wash from the boiler and add that to the next fermen...

Re: White Sugar Nutrients Informantion
Hello all, have been reading here for a few weeks and thought I wold join in the discussion. I have been messing around fermenting things and playing around with small stills since I was a kid but I really don't know much beyond the very basics. I built a C-803 fuel still a few years back and am jus...
