as have a 60 ltr still and like a bit of head room

just been offered a job load of frozen sweet corn .
i have a steam juicer and had an idea to run the corn in it then press the corn to get anything left inside
has anyone done this ?
and do you think it would work ?

hi again what a treat ran it and got just under 4 ltr at about 40% ABV of nice smelling and tasting low wines ran down to 10% ABV just to get as much as i could and to think was ready to dump the lot , thanks to you all got another 4 ltrs to add to the 10 ltrs of corn i have already got to do the sp...

start sg was about 1.04 but did not write it down but recall its was going to make about 5% ish
fg is just over 1.01 Temp a bit high about 26c
so looking on a beer chart would say its done
think I am going to run it and see what I get

note on the loss of spirit that makes sense now after leaving some run in for 12 months and only got a small amount out was thinking i had a leak but could not find any makes on the barrel .

thanks its a new still to me so just playing with it to get to know it 80c temp was at the top of the column was using the new power controler at that temp got nice flow from condenser i was thinking it was the bread yeast cus not used with fruit before but good point more strawberrys less sugar ten...

Hi Gents With ref to the molasses it took me an age to find it in the UK in 25kg tubs but find it I did from a catering company BAKO of london and south east look them up was a good price also do loads of other stuff for making a wash not sure if you can buy direct from catering companies in the USA...

thank you backset is what I was thinking of sorry for not being clear I have got it in my head that I read somewhere that if you put some backset in with your low wines it can carry over more flavor in your spirit run have checked my notes last night and have done this with a rum i did sometime ago ...
