I've got a silly question I think.. what about cuts when distilling isolates? Do you think it's necessary to do them or simply collect all the distillate until 40-50% ABV(obviously except first ml).

In your experience what do you think it's the best way to blend? Maybe adding one by one to base gin or preparing/tasting different options and then adjusting amount and type of botanical?

Hi! I don't want to start a war but.. what do you think about blending gin at 43% ABV(86 Proof) and storing it for 2 weeks in PET containers? I've read different posts here and most of them are subjective when defining if it's safe or not. Can the flavor change? Is it really dangerous? Ethanol at 96...

So you think that there is no "better or worst" method for any botanical, it just changes the intensity.
I guess I'll keep trying different options to get the best product.

I'm just starting to craft gin. I diluted it with bottled water without any issue.
Is the use of distilled water only to avoid cloudiness? I think a good quality mineral water can be better for the final product.
