Re: 3 different colors in one run

Jane was running a thumper, so it's a pretty rare problem. Rare but possible ....a thumper isnt a slobber box,.....have a look at the ingredients of the wash ....are you saying its impossible ? Sorry, what does puke mean? My second answer was in relation to the above anyway. Now I'm thinking we mig...

Re: 3 different colors in one run

I run my condenser water so hot that I can't hold my finger under the outlet. I've never noticed any problems. Running it again will tidy it up. If you are adding tails from a previous run, add them to the main pot unless you actually want them smeared into your new product. We were worried because...

Re: 3 different colors in one run

Sorry, what does puke mean? The 5 gallon mash pot was pretty full. 2 gallon thumper was filled no more than 2 inches from bottom.

3 different colors in one run

We just ran 5 gallons of mash consisting of old wine, apple juice concentrate, grape juice, sugar, bread yeast and water, strained through cheesecloth. Put some of it in thumper with neutral tails from previous run. Here is what we got in first 3 pint jars: IMG_20210529_164623_629.jpg There was a bi...

Re: Connector identification question

The nature of your question makes me think you should put together a napkin diagram of what it is you intend to do. This way the gang can keep you pointed in the right direction. Drawing.jpeg Here's the best I could come up with. The lid in original pic belongs to 5 gallon mash pot. Looking into Ha...

Re: Connector identification question

I would (btw) highly recommend that you make your flake stand / worm at least as large as your primary kettle. Those little tiny worm buckets you see on the internet simply have minimal knock down power for the duration of the run. You'll be an ice jockey in no time. Certainly you can plumb in a fr...

Thanks, looking into these.

BF aquired the 5 gallon with the lid pre-fitted with port to accept tubing. My question is what is the actual name of the connectors shown in my pics? And also, is there...

Hello from the Land of Enchantment (6,700 ft!)

Hi everyone, I'm Calamity Jane. I'm new to distilling, boyfriend introduced me to it. He has experience doing runs in the past. I decided to join because it seemed that every time I had a moonshine question and went to Google I ended up here. You guys have already helped us a few times with our new ...
