Just curious and maybe a help for other members, how did you remove the lead solder and clean it up? I'd like to know the answer to this too. Bought two stills online from Portugal, one tested positive for lead, the other one didn't. I haven't contacted the seller yet (only did the test today), but...

I did exactly the same. Thought it might be a trick question, as water can be distilled, right? Anyway, got there on my second attempt.
