Welcome. In a bit of time you can add distiller to your resume. Have fun. You can learn a lot here, but you'll learn more from your mistakes. It'll happen. Lol hopefully you can learn from others mistakes as well. There's plenty of successes and failures to read about here

I can understand how there can be a whole new generation that think vaccines are pointless . They have not seen what it was like before vaccines . How many if you remember seeing kids with one leg shorter than the other and having to wear stirrups on their legs all their life having caught Polio be...

And there goes my sense of smell again! I can hold a bottle of peppermint essential oil to my nose and breathe in deeply and while I can feel the menthol, I get just the faintest hint of mint odour. Omicron is outpacing Delta, not because it doesn't kill the host, (because in any case a patient wit...

Re: Anyone else got the Wuhan?
People here in Washington state are getting hit hard again. Seems like everyone I know either has it or just getting back from having it. So far I haven't gotten it again, hopefully I don't. I saw a professor from one of the elite colleges (didn't catch the name, but it's a lady that I thought was a...

I'm really not looking forward to catching this thing, for many years I smoked a couple packs of cigarettes a day, I guess that hasn't gone a long way toward helping lung function. When I get the flu now I feel a lot like what you guys are describing.......this shit sounds worse though. On the up s...

I got it, bad. Its ironic, my 68 year old mother gave it to me and she barely felt anything. Here I am 38 and fit and I have been down for 9 days. We were both vaccinated. Day 10 now and still feel like my lungs are at 10% capacity. Really would like to get some stuff done, but sitting around sound...

My step son and his girlfriend are both vaccinated and boosted. (Wa state) They are both home from work with the covid. My step daughter is unvaccinated. She's also home in Idaho with it as well as her husband and 3 kids. I'm happy I've already dealt with it, curious if I'll end up with it again. Th...

I was vaccinated in June, caught the delta in August. Right before our road trip to south dakota. Fortunately I was out of quarantine a couple days before we left. The shit part was i lost my taste and smell for several months after. I had zero energy for about 10 days, sweat like a whore in church,...

There's a definite learning curve. Turns out what you and I considered a still is really not. There's so many different types that are a better tool for whatever you want to make. I'm working on a "bokakob" reflux still right now. Depending on who you ask, you'll get lots of different opin...

Re: Thumper down tube
Under no circumstance use pex where alcohol vapors can contact. It's fine for hot water, but alcohol vapor will cause pex to leech into your product. Not to mention the other chemicals that come from distillation. Acetone being one of them. You can poison yourself. Plastics are a big no no on this f...

Just read your welcome center post. You might consider a bigger boiler and using your 2.5 gallon still as a thumper. The lid already seals, so you're halfway there.

Re: Thumper down tube
Hello, I have a new still that was purchased from Amazon. I put it together and found that when the vapors leave the pot and enter into the thumper the down pipe(from the lid to the bottom) inside the thumper is not a part of the still. Which defeats the purpose of the thumper so I need to know wha...

We spent the holiday in leavenworth wWashington in a cabin right on the Wenatchee River. Went and did some snowmobiling, lots of snow. I've got a p4, Mavic pro, and a p3 pro they sure are fun. But being in Washington state they are put away right now. To cold and wet to fly them. I really enjoy getting a really good photo captured, upload it to Costco and get it printed onto metal to hang on the wall.
