Traditional drink for my cousins Christmas party next weekend. Silver cups were a gift to me this year by the widow of my wife's doctor who was a good friend of her dad.
This is his recipe for mint julep.
Cheers to GA!!!

Re: Greatest album of all time.
Looking at this thread title.... There could be two ways of answering this.... Greatest of your all time favorite... Or greatest of all time.. by sales and stardom... I listed Pink Floyd the Wall... That was for what I thought was the best selling. For my favorite of all time... Metallica Master of...

I put mine on hand tight and when yummy asked about it i had to use a strap wrench to get the top off so yeah proceed with caution. So far no problem over here and have played with removing top on occasion to feel it out.

Re: mason jar lids
set it upright on the 12th this month in the garage. First few day had some minor leakage but once the wood swelled up it looked fine.
Aged water coming along nice lol. hung the rest of them on the fence to get weathered, starting to get that fresh cut wood smell gone.

Re: mason jar lids
No just hand tight yummy. Going to let it sit another 24 hrs inverted standing up like Swedish pride had his. Wondering if the head pressure of additional height would make a difference. Within a half hour i can see more penetration of liquid in the oak but no water spewing yet, will see how it goes.

as scrap piece is always a given, yummy a 1/4 is not enough to play with the router needs to be planted. if i had a barrel to play with could make it work without drilling through.
