Re: Littlestan's 220V Auber Instruments Controller Box Build

Just a quick follow up since I've successfully used it for multiple runs now... Littlestan you're going to absolutely LOVE that Auber DSPR 400. I've tried a couple of other Auber units thinking I could settle on less expensive model, but had to return them. I'll only use the DSPR 400. It's worth eve...

Re: Littlestan's 220V Auber Instruments Controller Box Build

Thanks so much for the feedback and constructive criticism/warnings everyone! Can't wait to finish and write up my other build threads now. Regardless, this build has quick release plug and sockets so surely one could easily just unplug the element if having no power to it was required To ...

Littlestan's 220V Auber Instruments Controller Box Build

Heyhey y'all, This is my controller! There are many like it, but this one is mine. Will post just the completed pics as the wiring is simple and I pretty much followed the diagram Auber provides, with the addition of a 30A switch inline with the mains power. Unless someone asks for pics of th...

Re: Heating Element Control

After ordering two of these Foteks SSR-40VA from ebay I found a few articles talking about cheap chinese knockoffs that use lower rated components so there goes that $9.00! heres one http://www.kegkits.com/SSRs.htm which links to https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/ul-warns-of-solid-state-rela...

Re: Sanke to tri clamp

Time travelling from 2 days in the past to note that this works for all 2" ferrules (copper OR stainless) as long as the sleeve outer diameter is 2" exactly. The ferrules that slip *on* or *in* a pipe will not fit. So basically just the weld on type. Or if you cut an end off a 2" spoo...

Re: I AM REBORN ANEW!

Welcome to the present future's past! TONS of knowledge here for the taking. Read, read, and read some more. Just like you probably have been doing. What did you end up with for a design? Went with a 5500w keggle boiler, direct controlled with a Auber DSPR400 PID. 3" column with 4 bubble plate...

I AM REBORN ANEW!

Oh hi there, This is my second go at my first welcoming post since the server has travelled 1.5 days into the past. ;-) Long time lurker, new to finally talking directly with you fine folks here as I'm finally able to pull the trigger on a still setup and design I can afford and be happy with. Looki...
