Re: Dibosh CM Reflux still from China
Original Poster here. This still is better than the polish one you posted. But AABRATEK is better and comes from Poland too. There used to be a waiting list for these. If you are looking for moonshine, then this forum is good. If you are looking for clean, refined products, then you should look at ...

Re: Polish Browin 30L pot still
Thanks Geoff! Personally I think you could construct a better still from triclover parts. That thing is boo boo. Agree Check this topic out . https://homedistiller.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=7417604#p7417604 A much more flexible solution that you can add too . Kimbodius can can configure it as a Pot ...

Re: Dibosh CM Reflux still from China
Hi all, I was thinking about buying the Dibosh reflux kit to put it on top of a regular 50l stockpot. What do y'all think of it? The seller I wanna buy it from is called "Enjoy Brewing Store" and the kit looks 100% like the one from Dibosh. In another offer, same product by the same selle...

Re: It seems glycerin is really the solution for sugar bite
To not take things to far afield of the topic, the book was written on observations of what rectifiers and producers were using to create “blended spirits” and compete in the US whiskey market (and others) about 140 years ago or so (1885). It’s a very interesting read as a historical reference. Fun...

Re: It seems glycerin is really the solution for sugar bite
I was just reading “the art of blending” and found this note: “Glycerine is often used, but it is not ad-visable to do so. It imports a velvety smoothness at first, more so, perhaps, than syrup, but it soon turns bitter.” This would see, to indicate that it will turn bitter over time and I was curi...

Re: Huge digital library of books about distillation
Before I forget it: Single Malt Yinzer posted a link to a distiller's library containing books that are in the public domain a while ago. Here's the link: https://distillerslibrary.wordpress.com/distilling/ For anyone interested, here are the books from my library that are in public domain: https://...

Re: Huge digital library of books about distillation
You're right contrahead. I don't want to harm the forum in any form, so I'm not going to post them here. It's good that the Author's Guild sued Google and gets now paid decently. What concerns me is that, apparently, they have already enough money to successfully sue such a huge company. I just hope...

Huge digital library of books about distillation
Hello my fellow distillers,
I have big library (about 100 books) about distillation - some of those recommended on the HD main page are also in there. I could upload them to a filehost but I'm not sure whether I'm allowed to post the links here. Is anyone interested?
Greetings,
rakijamaker

Re: Polish Browin 30L pot still
You can tell that seller is CLUELESS because the exit on the condenser points straight up. Run like hell. You don't really need to run. Modify it. Say, cut it fairly short and solder on a copper bend, 22.5 degrees or even 45 degrees. A female fitting so it will slide on. Facing downward so the hose...

Re: Polish Browin 30L pot still
Thank you very much guys! My plan B was actually a setup like the one from Kimbodius - would cost me around 235€ all together. I found another polish manufacturer who sells the exact setup that I'd like (50L) - even with copper pipes and a copper cooler - for 260€. Only downside is that it's less mo...

Polish Browin 30L pot still
Before I get started: I'm living in Europe, in a country where I can't legally obtain a still.I have 2 options: Building my own or buying one from abroad. The first option doesn't really make sense for me, as buying the parts for a still here would cost me more than buying one from a foreign country...

Hello from Europe!
Greetings fellow distillers, last year, I experimented a little with my first ferments. This year, I ran my first 2 runs. Right now, my third run (birdwatcher's) is in preparation. During the last months, I read some books about distillation, read a lot of articles on this forum and learned a whole ...
