I love seeing the old set up. From what I've read... There where a lot of log stills here in the US. Logs were cheeper than copper. Thanks for sharing this Toto!

Re: How to make a vapor cone without soldering
There was a few posts about a similar thing a month or two ago where someone had shown a company that presses them . The question was asked about DIY . I think it was Shady had suggested making the dye’s out of Concrete ( because it would be easy to do thqn machine steel ones )and using a hydraulic...

Re: First spirit run
Why not strip more and fill the keg up with more low wines? Seems like a lot of work for a small return. You'll probably only end up with a quart of so after cuts.

Re: Winding a Coil Condenser
I guess we all been doing it wrong..... Yes, you did everything wrong. And I did it wrong at the beginning, when my entire path was copper. On the copper path, over time, black-green flakes began to fall into my selection. I didn't like it, so I replaced the descending branch of the tract with stai...

Re: Looking to build a CCVM
I’m a bit worried about that serious looking kink on your coil …… looks like it is almost bent flat and may seriously impede water flow . Have you tested how many litres a min it will pass +1 I can see more than one flat spot in the coil you have in the picture. Needs to be addressed to insure enou...

As the vapor moves downwards (the condenser coil), the alcohol reacts with copper and verdigris (copper acet...
