P.S. After making this post and shutting down the run, I checked the distillate in collection jar and the proof there was actually 44.

First run - newbie question
I just made my first run of Corn/Sugar wash using Air Still. Beginning proof after foreshots was 120, judged by taste and burn on tongue. At tails proof of 56 I stopped collecting distillate due to taste and proof. Does this sound like a good practice? Should I run to a lower or higher proof? I cons...
