Re: Sutronics BFM240-13 3kw Burst-Fired Power Controller help???
Hi TR, I ended up pulling out the dry boil sensor and now it works like it should've in the first place! Its a bit of a pain that it wouldn't work in its original configuration as it would've been a nice feature to have. I measured the temp of the controller under use today and it was running at 28 ...

Re: Sutronics BFM240-13 3kw Burst-Fired Power Controller help???
Hey Squidd, Your right with with the numbers and the components. I didn't get to it today but it'll be on my list of jobs for tomorrow. :) I was able to get my controller direct from Sutronics in the U.K. If the order is over 20 pounds then it gets free postage to anywhere. I think it was 36 pounds,...

Re: Sutronics BFM240-13 3kw Burst-Fired Power Controller help???
Hi rad,
I was thinking the same thing. Today I'll bypass the sensor and see if it works then. I'll post a pic of the box that
i've got it built in, to see if you guys think it is adequate.
Cheers

Sutronics BFM240-13 3kw Burst-Fired Power Controller help???
Hey everyone, I’ve just built myself one of these Sutronics BFM240-13 3kw Burst-Fired Power Controllers. Re: My new Still upgrade plan and a few questions/advice needed
Where is everybody getting there lead free soft solder and silver solder from? At the local plumbing shop they only stock 2%, 5% and 15% silver solder. Its $15 a stick for the 15% silver, is this about the normal? I went to buy a Benzomatic torch (Which I assumed was a MAPP torch) but got told by th...

Hey Shifty,
I see you have a Pure Distilling brochure in the 1st pic. Did you look into buying one of these before building your own?

Re: Worm condenser
G'day everyone, I used to run a pot still and I felt bad about all the water it was using so I made a worm condenser. I got a piece of 1/2" copper, 6 meters long and wound it round an oxy bottle. I cant remember what size, maybe 8". I found a 20 gallon steel drum and fitted it inside, braz...
