I'd never had any issues getting the Goya piloncillo to ferment. Once diluted down to 1.25lbs per gallon I suspect the potassium sorbbate is in such low concentration thats it's not an issue. +1 no issues w/Goya @ 1.4 ppg either. I heat mine up to 185F with just enough water & dunder to rehydra...
