Having fun now

Got my pot still finished today I made it so I can run with or without thumper. Also started a bokabob two cups got every thing finished but coil. Packed it with salt before I quit so mabye I can wrap it soon. Any one have any expertise with a 2 cups it sure went together good so far.I have pics buy...

It was $80.00.I got it in fridge at shop.Guy told me could freeze it but siad it should last couple years in cabinets. I got a buddy here in town building him a still I told him not to order any yeast I got plenty for both of us.

Confederate powderworks distillers yeast said 48hrs but I got a sugar wash still going after 5 days.Got youngest girl to put it all in zip lock bags last night. Damn I got alot of yeast :lol:

Dont use a plastic wine test tube as in picture it will eat glue from bottom and turn tube itself cloudy also has a very funky chemical smell to it. :oops: I got one of the daughters to borrow me a glass test tube from high school chem class it works well. :twisted:

Ive got another pear wash started to run got one ready but it needs degasing to get rid of rotten egg smell so Im going to just make wine with it. Pot still is coming along well hope it will be ready by time wash is done.

Anyone ever used any confederate yeast just got a bag today says I got enough to ferment 11,000 gal. damn its a big bag of yeast. :lol:

Your wine should get very clear before you bottle it if not it will clear an leave seddiment in your bottles. you can use beinite as a fining 1 teaspoon in 1/2 cup warm water or gelitan can also be used.

After awful tasting and smelling end result I still had about five gallons of wash left all my family was gone so I thought I'd pack column up and just kill some time. on top of my last ss packing I dropped in a lemon and a half and orange. temp ran at174 ended up with best stuff Ive made yet hardly...

Ran my wash yesterday without any packing I :( counldnt understand way it ran so much slower. the coulmn temp got to about 177 and stayed which is higher than with packing and my boiler was 250 which is about 40 more got to make different wash sweet feed is just bad in ever way may try to burn it in...

internal reflx ?

I have wash ready run and reading here some one said I could run with out any paking to be like a pot still. I have a internal reflux. Also told not to run water throgh colmn dose that mean to do some replumbing. And do I need to do a stipping run using still in this manner.

Ive just done three runs 1 was a failed pair wine other was sweet feed last was a sugar but all taste obout the same. I made some white oak charcoal and steamed it soaking all in the charcoal now. also ran it through water filter.

I am running an internal reflux and was wondering if i could use some cinnamon sticks and vinalla beans in my colomn between packing for some flavor. what im getting now just undrinkable. need some type of flavor to smooth it out.

First time posting. I had orderd still but got borerd wiating so I built one with plans from a site. Internal reflux i5 gal keg that I converted to electric. Ive ran it three times with no problems when column gets stable its on auto pilot just switch jugs and watch her drip. so to all new people in...
