LOL I GUESS THATS WHY ITS BLUE THEN THANKS. it seems i have done something wrong 2 quarts out of 4 gallons of mash is that wright? and my proof really is not all that high sould it be more then 100? and should i have gotten more then a couple of quarts

first ever

well i just turned on the oven made the past and made a thumper, and now i wait, i hope it turns out good its a sweet feed mash on a home made pot still with an electric oven. i know electric is not good but for now its all i got.

i just made this mash and its on day 3 it smells really sweet almost like cider. i used distillers yeast about 70 grams or so and now its not bubbling any more so im sure its done but i need to go back to the hard ware store to get more copper im putting on a thumper before i do my run. so i hope i ...

well konw i dont know what i want. just wish there was an easy anwser. seems every time i think i know what i want a new problem comes up.so for a keg heater is it safe to run 2 1500w that plug into a normal house outlet?and if i go the route with 4500w i will need to plug it into my stove outlet? b...

ahhh so by going with the 2 1500w your losing 1500w from the 4500w is that going to make a big differnce in the distilling or just take longer to heat up?

Make a wash/mash, run it in the still, collect what comes out. The temp is going to be determined by whats in the still...

hi, im trying to figure all this stuff out but i seem to start out with 1 question and then i end up with 100 lol. but for know i am wanting to know what temp do i want for distilling? i herd 177f is the magic number is that true? and not to go over 179. thanks for reading and helping out akrandy
