Re: Sweet Tator Experiment

True Confession: I watch "Moonshiners". It was what got me interested in the "craft". To be more accurate however, actually I record it so I can fast forward through a lot of the "stories". I know it is what it is and above all - DON'T SELL, DON'T TELL! One reason I watch is I do like Mark & Digger ...

Started a new "tradition" a few years ago. "Decorating the tree" Christmas Tree.png Not many places you can get an ornament for about $2.00 and unfortunately, don't have any of my own to hang. Plus, at least in years past, following Christmas Eve services and dinner with the family, we could "drink ...

I know a whole lot more about that shit that I ever wanted to! Short version - started having attacks, doctor would treat & talk about diet & weight. Then I found out I had leukemia & started chemo. Re: New Age Vodkas - & a Moscow Mule

I thought some of you would find this "entertaining". 99% of "craft" vodka is 40% industrial spirit, 60% ad copy and cute labels. Economically nothing else makes much sense. Of the distillers actually making their own, a small percentage from what I've seen are outside the traditional bland and solv...

New Age Vodkas - & a Moscow Mule

I wasn't sure where to put this. WithOrWithoutU2 had started a post about Rye Vodka I've looked for Rye Vodka Recipes. However, I can't seem to find any on this site or the internet in general. It so happened I just read this article in Garden & Gun Magazine. I've referred to it before. I subscribe ...

Re: Bitcoins??

I wouldn't particularly want to be paid in BTC : solid risk the value may drop before you can sell them. Also there are costs associated with the sale. I agree. Unfortunately, after the fact, the option is do I want to get paid? If yes, it's bitcoin. Previous customer, will NOT be a future customer.

Seems reasonable. I am not sure where you live. But if you have White Oak in your area I can assure you there is a local saw mill that has some. :D You have to cut it, and dry it yourself. Get a few big boards and you'll be set for many years to come. I may have shared this a couple of years ago. I...

Thirty odd years ago I was living between Lafayette & New Iberia maybe 30 miles from the coast. We had a Tropical Storm come in, never materialized up to a Hurricane.
