When my wife got her S&W 38 in came with a grip laser...the intrusions in the box said..."Making bad people make the right decisions" which pretty much sums it up...and at 25 to 30 the hole is exactly on the laser dot, which is petty damn scary.

Wormwood is the mental destroying part of this recipe so I decided not to try and make it. Table sugar is pure sucrose, in order to "eat" it, the yeast must first "split" the sucrose into it's two major fractions glucose and fructose, no problemo ...however if the yeast is under stress during the digestion and splitting of the sucrose, be that temp, pH, re-hydration et...

Re: Neutral 'Bite' - Unstable Fermentation Temp, Invert Sugar or Simple Syrup?

Here is a way to get rid of that "bit" from your low's or spirit run liquor, for gin or vodka, and not have to redistill it. You'll need a 24-30 inch long piece of 3/4 inch copper pipe, cap one end and drill an 8th inch hole in it. Fill and pack the pipe with activated charcoal (food grade...

Re: Safety test

Before you have the eye to eye you'll need to check with your State legislation. If West Virginia is anything like PA and a LOT of other States, hobby/home distillation is already legal === at the State level --- and that's the kicker...the BATFE regulations are Federal, and although not "law&q...

Re: When is the wash completely fermented

I don't think anyone has mentioned this...in distilling you don't want a wash to go to zero, the reason is...we ferment our washes with a huge excess of yeast. 10x what you would start off with for beer, and 100X for wine...we don't want our little friends sitting around and letting other organisms ...
