Re: Best way to read the site

I pull up view active, then use the right click, 'open in new tab' for each topic, so I end up with numerous open windows. Then I read and close each one. I refresh the view active topics one more time, read anything else, and then go to the main board index, and click mark forums read. Like rad sai...

Re: Best way to read the site

The 'View Active Topics' Is a good link. But as has been mentioned it DOES use search resources. If you hit every hour, no big deal. It does NOT show you new posts since your last visit. It shows posts that are a week old or less. The ones you have not clicked on, will have a 'new post' icon (yellow...

Re: Mobile compatible site

Very good to hear. NOTE, our server version is far behind. But I am NOT going to update that, for a while, to make sure things are working. The tapatalk upgrade process kind of sux, and causes loss of 5 or 6 of my hand modifications to site files, so it takes a decent amount of time to do, and want ...

Fixed (I hope). After a OS / web server upgrade things stopped working. I think I have found the problem, and things should work again in tapatalk.

Re: Mobile compatible site

I 'believe' I have this fixed now. I spent some time yesterday writing some simple php code, and digging through other code. I was able to track down a missing module (XML Parser), and spent time trying to figure out how to get it installed. I never did find any instructions on the web on 'how' to d...

Re: I made too much

Once split into 2 9g batches, I would run each half, into smallish containers each set numbered. Then smell/taste/feel to make the cuts. Just because on 1 run you do not add the first 3 jars does not mean you should skip testing on the other run. On that run, it may have been hotter, and the first 4...

Re: Any crib players out there? ever get a 29

I was going to look it up too just hadn't gotten around to it yet, now I know why I've never had a Royal Flush. I have had several, but that is with hold'em. A 7 card game has a much different than a 'true' 5 card hand. WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING. You may need a drink, either before, or aft...

Deal of the Week (new forum)

There has been a new forum added. It is a child of the classified forum. So HD / Other Information / Classified Ads / Deal of the week is where it is at. This forum is for posting GOOD deals you stumble across. Not simply excess material you have, that you would like to unload, or if you are looking...

Re: Any crib platers out there? ever get a 29

Barb and I played, and I played some in the past, but not too much. I probably only have had 25k hands or so. I have gotten a couple 28's but never a 29. One of the 28's was quad 5's in the hand, woulda been a good draw poker hand ;) 29 would be pretty special, for sure. 2 29's close is even more sp...

Re: Storing product in plastic

Has this POS topic gone on long enough yet? Is this one any more useful than the 200 other 'what about plastic' threads that have come up over the years?

This one has been allowed to go on, and so far at least it is not a pissing match. But really, is there anything still let to say?????

I should know better than to hijack a thread, but if you find a topic that is really good, and want to always keep it at your finger tips, you can use the 'bookmark topic' link, to make a personal bookmark. You can then go to the User Control Panel, and see your bookmarked posts, and go right to it....

Re: Why do some people say not to use ice in a condenser buc

The topic makes it sound like he is talking coil in the bucket. IMOH, most replies give information about a lebig or some other forced flow condenser. In the case of a coil in the bucket, you DO want to have a temp gradient build up in the bucket. Hot (almost steaming) at the top, and cool at the bo...

Re: Best temp to age/mellow apple pie?

use a stronger neutral. that way, you are not using 40% ethanol, and 60% water in your 5oz. If you put in 3oz of 90%, and filled that pint with 'juice', you would have about 34%. If you put in 2oz of 90%, you would get 22.5%. But the biggest thing you gain here, is you put in less water, thus less f...

good ideas cacky. Yes, this type discussion has been batted around a lot over the years, behind the scene in the mod's forums. One other thing we would also like to do, is for some of the 'best' type topics, split them up, into the REAL meat and potatoes part (i.e. the REAL tut), and then hang a dis...

might have been sassafras, but I would not think you could do shine from it. But you could steep shine in it after the fact, prior to drinking it.

Yes, they vibe like a MOFO. Not bad, until about 60-65. But by the time you are at 75, it is even vibrating your toes. Gotta be damn sure to have locktight on about all fasteners, or u'll lose parts going down the road. But I can see pretty well even at 75. It has some really beefy chrome mirrors. G...

How many do you need? I bowl, and during one year of leagues, I got about 70 bottles. Mostly rum, vodka and beam bottles. There were a few other ones thrown in, but those were the bread and butter. Got them free, just asked. They simply set a box up on one shelf, and put empties into there. They wou...

I will give drunkards NO moment at all. Once they arrive, I do everything humanly possible to kill every last one of them (impossible, but I try). I hate the little F'ers. Nasty drunkards like nothing better than to turn good stuff into rotten vinegar.

He had my daughter out doing that on the track last night. She was absolutely thrilled to be on the track. It was her first time at a d...

It was pretty ghetto. crushed limestone gravel on the sides of the pits, crowd pulled right up to the track with trucks and lots of coolers. But it was pretty damn fun. first run since Barb passed.

Did my first run last Thurs (first since Barb passed). Molasses (feed grade I had to drop out the proponic), and about 2 lb of cracked corn (12g batch). Took it down, still VERY young stuff, to the outlaw drag race outside of St Joseph. MO (us36raceway.com). Was a pretty 'ghetto' outlaw track, but d...
