If you have a re-flux still you can re-distill it as mann times as you wish buy remember this ... you never get 100% recovery from the wash. You will lose a little every time you run it. Correct... You will lose what is left behind in the boiler, depending on how far down you run... Even if you ran...

I found some PTFE hose to use as the gasket between my pot and my lid but I needed to bond the ends of the hose. It's insanely difficult to find a glue that will work on slippery stuff like that. Found a loctite primer that sounds like it will then allow regular superglue to work on it. It's all on...

a concentric is a whole column setup with its own type of collection. My idea is just a reflux coil. Like I said in the title. Oh, where to start...!!! Yet more signs that you need to do some research... Yeast convert "sugar" alcohol and CO2... Starch is useless in a ferment and need to be converted to sugar via enzymes... You'll learn that and more when you do ample research... As far as your wash, you could try ...

Stick with a recipe from the Tried and True Recipe forum until you have a proper handle on things... One pound per gallon gives a 7% ABV potential yield, if you stuck with a total of 2.5 gallons of water... But you never added any nutrients so the yeast aren't going to stay healthy or happy... You h...

DBCFlash, yes, one can of tomato paste would have been plenty... As far as your OG, you could add a bit more water now that you don't have a huge krausen on top of your wash so they yeast colony is less stressed as the ferment progresses... The more you can add the better... Sounds good otherwise...

1118 survives temps below freezing. Just warm it up after a freeze, you'll see. Most all yeasts will survive freezing, otherwise they probably wouldn't still exist... For future reference, bakers yeast likes a temperature range of 75F/24C - 85F/30C (higher is also ok for bakers yeast) and will start into the dormancy phase around 70F/21C... So your wash is too cold for bakers yeast... The wash temperature drops throughout the fermentation cycle so you may need to...
