!!!Bout' Killed Me!!!

Ok, My first run smelled and tasted like Damnit, so I ran it a second time.

I just about got the heads and hearts figured I think, smelled pretty clean.
So I got me a Big Ole' swig of it. DAMNIT my throat feels raw, burnt my
guts, took my breath.

Is that normal?

Cut it and age it, that's why commercial distilleries put in a barrel for several yrs.

NB...I edited(read-corrected :lol: ) this because every distillery is different.

I dont know what % it is..... I have a plastic test tube for checking my wine and used it....

It seperated the glue and discolored the plastic :lol:

A bit of water mixed in before you drink it straight out of the still stops the tongue from going numb. :lol:

You didn't "taste" it before downing a glass? Silly sod.
And now you know why anything above 75% has a flame arrestor on the top :)

How long will it take for folks to figure out that plastic and alcohol should be kept apart?

Amen THM.
I used to use the plastic tube my proof hydrometer came in... and then it fogged up... now I use glass only.
