Another one calculation task
I'm trying to "predict" AbV in mash after fermentation, based on its components.
If assume that all 100% starch in raw material become to a sugar, and all 100% of sugar become to an alcohol, then no problem.
But in real world not 100% of starch become to a sugar, and not 100% of sugar become to an alcohol
I'm just wonder, how much starch stay starch, and sugar stay sugar after fermentation, in %? Is somewhere available any average value or any tables maybe?

Re: Mash calculation
In most of the homebrew the mash calcs on the web they allow you to specify the amount of water and grainbill components as well As An efficiency value. Try efficiency between 75% and say 90% and you should get a range of OG that would be what you get depending on your mash conversion efficiency. I’d say it should be able to ferment down to about 1.000 in most cases.
Cheers!
