Interesting stuff yummyrum! It would be interesting to see how it behaved if the VM valve came off the column where your bottom window is prior to the constriction.

The VM's might have a different size or design of product condenser.
And have a different amount of vacuum to suck the vapor out of the port.

Not a bad idea at all D4d … I think I could cobble that up .Dancing4dan wrote: ↑Mon Nov 22, 2021 5:02 pm Interesting stuff yummyrum! It would be interesting to see how it behaved if the VM valve came off the column where your bottom window is prior to the constriction.
Funny you mention that Shady . Was driving to work thinking , …. as you do , … and I wondered if I sucked on the PC outlet , would it draw in vapour which would then collapse and pull in more . ???
This might proof “ the Water vapour's lighter” theory . If I can encourage it to
start going down and it keeps going . Who knows , perhaps the vapour might split evenly …. Got a sad feeling it won’t though .
My recommended goto .

I hadn't thought about "priming " a VM.Yummyrum wrote: ↑Tue Nov 23, 2021 3:43 am

But it does make me wonder about the CO2 in a wash doing just that.

So we are all guessing right? And I'm not totally sure I understand.
You have HOT water vapor going up. Like a stove pipe the hot vapor rises.
And it could suck cold air up the PC pipe.
As mentioned above there is a lot less water vapor than etoh vapor (2.66 times and all that. )
Maybe with less vapor the steam is happy to just go straight up because heat rises.
With etoh there is enough "pressure " to force some into the PC column.
To test, crank both valves down so there is some "pressure" with the water?

Now I know how you claim azeo so easy, it's based on a meat thermometer.
