Second time today I've seen a reference to roasted barley (in the link). And the day is young.
I'll drink one to you bilgriss while I'm stilling in my relatively steamy hot 66° basement.

Ahaha , don't talk about temp, we just had over a week below -8˚F here and down to -26 some nights !
I won't boil anything, just drink :)

Over forty degrees C here in this part of Australia (probably hotter elsewhere).

Too hot right now to even go outside, I hope the power does not go off because of too many coolers! Ironic, really because we have enough solar power (nearly) to operate the coolers but it has to operate through the grid.

Spirit run for 10 hours last week in CO at 7000' with 15F temps outside and I need to keep the fan running because of ventilation issues in my garage. I dumped 50 gal of chill water and created an ice skating rink on my driveway. I'm still cold.

I feel like I cursed myself. Pipes burst below the downstairs bathroom. No access to that little space from below, and I spent part of the day removing sink and toilet.

But I got the porter brewed.
