Micronized gelatin and more

Post by Demy »

I have never used clarifying agents (except the cold!) Except for some experiments but wanting to reduce the deposit in the bottle as much as possible, I tried the gelatin that is often used in homebrewing. I recently saw a type of "micronized" gelatin which is even cold soluble and is used above all in wine making. I searched for information and it appears that a process is used that avoids gelatin gelling while maintaining (or almost) the electric charge properties. I also contacted a company that produces it and it seems to confirm the above. My first question is: have any of you ever used it?

Surely I was talking about beer, I posted it in the "beer and wine" section specifically ........! I know there is no need for distillation.
