If you're having trouble with your animated avatar like I was, here's how you fix it:

Note that maximum size of avatars is now 80 x 80 pixels, file size 17kB.
Upload your oversized .gif avatar to EZ GIF, change size to 80x80, and SAVE.
Then go to Home Distiller Control Panel/ Profile/ Edit Avatar, upload your new avatar and enjoy.

The EZ GIF site is no BullSh!t. Nothing to download (except your new avatar) and no spammy nonsense.
I wouldn't waste your time if it was.

Cheers!

I have an older Iphone 5s

Thought you might be interested to see how the new php looks .
In portrait and landscape .

In portrait some options are not visible until you flip the phone sideways .

Note in both cases the thread /topic count info on the right hand side is missing . It is there on my PC .

I do recall this happened when other forums migrated to this new php version.
I whinged about it there but there was no outcome . I suspect its just a quirk of the Iphone 5. My wifes dodgy old Iphone and her new 7 work fine .

Good news
You no longer need to resize pictures before uploading them to HD forum .
The forum auto rescales them to 800pixels on the long side .
This is awesome .

Oh my word. Yummy, thanks for the direction. I took it a tip further.

If you're on a mobile device, go to settings, and select "view desktop site". It looks just like the old view, and all the buttons are there!

When looking through the index I would like to see a "Got to first unread post" on each topic. This would save having to click on the topic first. It would save a click and having to load a page when going back to a thread you have looked at before. I have seen this option on other forums and it is real handy.

I like the new platform after using it for a few day's now but won't let me post pictures keeps telling me low memory. Whoever did all this work I give you a pat on the back a double pump handshake and a hearty job well done sir and or madame.

So, another benefit. Youy can upload more than one picture at a time. Like any other app :).

Thats awesome SCD! This combined with the auto resize function will be a real time saver!

One question re photos though, does the process retain the meta data or is it stripped?

Just taking a quick look at a recent thread from after the upgrade done by a new member that has images attached:

viewtopic.php?f=101&t=75412#p7570951

It looks like that person's image doesn't have EXIF information, at least not anything personal like location.

Not sure if they removed it or if the forum did, but it would be nice if the forum took care of it.

I don't know why my avatar doesn't appear, or how to fix it, or how much effort I should bother to put into fixing it.

Copied from the site:

Current image:
Maximum dimensions; width: 80 pixels, height: 80 pixels, file size: 17.00 KiB.

So it appears that I'm not a naughty boy, but the software doesn't care.

I was wrong about wifes old Iphone ....had that all cocked up . I was thinking about another issue .
Yes it seems my wifes old Iphone 6 and her new iphone 8 also have the right hand side cropped off it .Seems to be an Iphone issue . Is there an Iphone patch that can be fitted to the php board to allow iphones to show full screen ?
