Educate me. Aside from fungus/mold, what am I looking at?

Well, hopefully not an Aflatoxin.
It bloomed in a glass that had rum in it. What made me do a double take is that it is very symmetrically round and has a green/blue/green color. Very similar to the mold structure on my very favorite dunder pit.

Problem is that it looks like Aspergillus flavus or Aspergillus Parasiticus?

Looking for literature now that discusses weather or not this mold is encouraged in muck pits.

Otherwise daddy will have to abort......

You dunderheads are fascinating people. I should wander into the rum section...

This reminds me, I should take a look at my muck buckets, since I haven't made anything in a while they might be getting a bit interesting.

If you care for it well, it might grow up to be one of these Larry.

I haven’t made rum in a year was planning on it and kept my backset in dark growlers. I am afraid to look at them in the outbuilding.

Aw take it back,,,,lol.
Actually, if it's done right, it will have an amazing sweet floral smell.
I recently saw Jonny VerPlanck's pit down at Shady Distillery in Ft.Lauderdale. It was equally as hideous looking. But the smell,,,,oh my goodness it was amazing in every good kinda rum God's way.

It's only two years old or so.
All part of that revitalization/gentrification of Sistrunck Blvd.
