That's a beast Odin! Enjoy!!!
Re: Motorcycles
A comfy beast it is! Very excited. I'll take possession of her coming Friday ... can't wait! Like a child on his birthday.

Re: Motorcycles
Off Topic & I apologize.
I don't ride but I know several members do.
Perhaps they'll get a laugh out of this too.
Antifa went to Sturgis this week - what could POSSIBLY go wrong?
Like I said, I don't ride.
I HAVE done some dumb things in my life but I never
EVER
even THOUGHT ABOUT kicking at a guys's bike.
Even if there weren't a few thousand of his friends standing around.
Luckily there were cops nearby.

Re: Motorcycles
Fact check
According to Geody VanDewater, Sturgis chief of police
Don't know if the protestor was a member of Antifa.
He was from nearby Rapid City, South Dakota.
He was protesting against the governor for having the motorcycle rally during the pandemic.

What matters is the video misrepresents the truth.
Ya want to talk about Motorcycles
I'm not bragging. I've ridden around a 1/2 million miles
I've prospected and worn colors.
The rides I have at the moment are a 2009 FXD and DR650se for gravel road exploring.
Next on the list is going to be a Morgan style 3 wheeler using a a Evo sportster engine

Re: Motorcycles
Shady, Morgan's are cool. And British!!
I see a bunch of the three wheelers every year at the All British Field Meets around here.
I ride a Triumph, and own MG's and I'm fond of all things British.

Re: Motorcycles
I've also got a soft spot for old Britch iron.
Back in the early 1980s and 90's I had a 59 bugeyed sprite and a 62 midget that was made from a scrap pile.
Easiest engine I've seen for working on. 2 people could pull the motor out 30 minutes easy.
The front suspension was an engineering work of art, Even the electrics worked on mine.
After I cut every wire off, and through away everything made by lucas electrics

Re: Motorcycles
Way off from Shady's discussion.
Years ago used to ride the rice. 99 Honda F4 600 with all the fixings, upgrades worth more than the bike, making her about a 750 that purred well.
I would be glad to say it looked cool, was chick a magnet, great for exotic tricks and exotic behaviors. Some, most, of the other enthusiastic riders around town nearly always took it too far.
Was honestly too fast for myself, could out-run the Police no problem 160-170. A group of 15-40, no challenge.
I do not miss it. I am going for the convertible in a few.

That was for the best. I know me.
No such thing as "too fast" and most of my rides have ended up with a rash.

Re: Motorcycles
That's some fine iron SBB. They're getting expensive over here.
For me riding was a bit on the backburner due to family and work, but I've revived my vfr and guzzi california. Turns out I still know my way around some twisty roads.
Other than those I mostly have old junk.
70's Honda, 80's guzzi and moto morini.
Couple other japs.
Getting a larger garage built to spend more quality time with them.
Oh and it'll be better equipped for stilling

Re: Motorcycles
Just lucky that I was in the right place at the right time Corsaire, payed $2200 au for the Trumpy way back when new ...that incuded 12 months registration and a aftermarket oil cooler.
The others I payed very little for many years ago.
Bonny has never had the engine cases apart and years ago It was my only transport for many years ........its seen most ends and sides of this country.
Other bikes hiding in corners of shed but unseen in these photos are a 1938 U model HD Flat head and a 1981 HD ...FXEF.....bought that brand new to and did a shit load of miles on it.
38 U's are bout rare as rocking horse poop....bout 400 made ...end of depression beginning of war.
Owned and rode a Mark I Guzzie Lemans many years ago .....that was a fast fucker for something not Japanese....those things are worth some bucks now...kicking my self I sold it now.

That's a nice Bonnie there SBB.
I see them running about where I live once in a while, too few left on the road.

Re: Motorcycles
Anybody track their toys?
Did two trackdays this year. I bought the full leather get up because I know I want to do a lot of it. Where I live there's too much traffic and not enough nice roads to fulfill my need for speed safely, so I mainly just ride the old bikes at a leisurely pace, at least for me. But that doesn't kill the need for speed.
I was planning to get a track toy, not road registered just purely for fun. Would have had to be a common Jap, cheap and with plenty of spares like an r6 or some such.
But of course life got in the way, the new shed's not built yet so no room for a track toy.
So I ended up taking my guzzi v11 road bike. Loads of fun, and loads of comments from surprised people. I got fast enough to get bumped into the faster groups at the last trackday.
Then pushed it too hard when it started to rain... Lost the front in a braking zone and am now kicking myself for crashing the road bike.
Managed to limp it home. Replacement parts are of course scarce and expensive.
Anyway. I'm looking at track toys again! I know the smart move would be a jap sportsbike but my local toystore has a mint Ducati 749s for 3000€

Added another “horse” to my “barn” a year ago.
It’s luxury on 2 wheels. Indeed a fantastic ride and I’ve put many miles on it already. But, I do still have the “flamethrower” too, although I mostly just ride it around town now. viewtopic.php?f=103&t=60898&start=30#p7562575

My favorite pic of my R1200RT, taken at about 00:30 hrs , about 1.5 hrs from home late July 2017 after an unreal weekend ride with a buddy through Northern Ab and BC.
Yea we get like 20 hrs of daylight and a little twilight in June/July here. Love long summer days.
We're not going to talk about Dec.

Re: Motorcycles
I love mine, I got rid of my 90's CB750 and picked up a new CB1000R this year. It's in the shop though for a shit load of warranty work this year, going on 6 weeks (non consecutive), so I'm considering going on some lemon law stuff.
Unexpected from a Honda, honestly.
