Post by jedneck »

What critters you have in your barns?
I got 4 dairy goats ( 3 does 1 buck), chickens, a Jersey steer and the newest addition 2 Guinea hog gilts. Gotta get a boar yet.
welcome aboard some of us are ornery old coots but if you do a lot of
reading and don't ask stupid questions you'll be alright most are
big help

" what's in your barn "
50+ years of junk, several cows, two miniature horses, the crazy barn cat, porkchop the pig, a dozen+ chickens, grain, hay, old tractors, farm equipment, etc.
And a still thats gone through 30+ years of evolution.
And at least once a day, a fat old eccentric character, known as Shadylane....

Hate to admit it, but I'm one of the few red-necks that hasn't a clue about sports.
I've been known to go to peewee games and a few highschool games.

All I have is a horse, two baby doll sheep (my daughter/wife's) and a pile of barn cats. None revenue generating and none will provide food.... We are working our way up to that.

I got no barn, just a few smaller chicken coups, and a pig house, the barns my next big project hopefully, just digging holes for main beams in our clay flint soil has been a major pita. I have an unlimited supply of building steel so I've just built smaller to fit the need.
